Chapter 14
While reading the chapter I learned that "Columbus Day" actually represent the day he invaded the Native American. Taking away their heritage and reducing their population. He was not the first person to discover America. Another thing that I learned is that Hernan Cortez lead a expedition that caused the fall of the Aztecs in the ancient city of Teotihuacan, which is modern day Mexico City. Also that British Protestants wanted to spread their religious beliefs to the Native Americas. Again taking away the beliefs and customs of the Native Americans. The Chapter also emphasis on how the English conquered the Eastern and Northern Cost of America.
